The PGSYO is a cooperative venture of the PGSO and the PGCM to provide the youth of the city and surrounding communities the opportunity to experience the joy of making orchestral music, develop relationships with peers and develop as musicians.
If you are a young string player from the Prince George and nearby areas the Prince George Symphony Youth Orchestra is for you! Here are a few of the reasons we hope you will consider participating:
ENJOY meeting and playing marvellous music with other youth from your community with similar interests.
LEARN valuable musical skills such as listening, timing, intonation and more.
STUDY with our fabulous music director Donna Williams. We will also have guest clinicians who will help you hone your playing in sectionals.
EXPERIENCE playing under the baton of special guest conductor Michael Hall of the PGSO.
