An ergonomic approach to flute playing is important to building a well-rounded music foundation which includes music reading, theory, listening skills and good technique. Programs are tailored to individual students’ and their family’s needs and expectations.

A plan for study is developed in conjunction with the student considering their interests, strengths and weaknesses. In order to help students develop into well-rounded musicians, solid technique, a firm understanding of music theory, playing by ear and arranging/composing is encouraged.

Celtic Harp Ensemble
The harp ensemble offers a wonderful opportunity for harpists (both students and non-students) to meet and play with others in a supportive and relaxed atmosphere. Shoshanna endeavors to choose music that is suitable for a multi-level ensemble so all levels of ability are welcome. Repertoire ranges from Celtic, classical and contemporary.

Uses a blend of Suzuki and RCM methods, supplemented with other materials according to students’ individual needs and interests. Excellent technique and musical literacy are a primary focus at all levels.
Students explore various repertoire styles as they progress.
Violin groups are not available in semester one.

Uses a variety of methods tailored to the needs of students, including RCM and Kodaly. Erica has studied Feldenkrais and other body awareness techniques that can help students with tension issues. Is She is also able to help students that have difficulty in matching pitches.
Erica is classically trained but teaches all genres. She will teach you “how to drive” so you can go where you want to go.
Never pressures but encourages students to participate in recitals, festivals and community events.
Ages: 16 to adult
A fun way to learn to sing with others without the pressure of performing. The focus is on learning vocal techniques, some sight reading and singing a wide variety of songs, from classical to pop and everything in between.
Wednesdays 5:30 - 6:30 pm
