Allison Bell has been a full time violin teacher and active musician in northern B.C. for the past ten years, and served as Artistic Director at the PGCM from 2014-2021. She regularly performs with the PGSO as well as with with various chamber groups in Prince George. In addition to her B. Mus. in violin performance from Brandon University, she has studied a variety of pedagogical approaches and continues to gain inspiration from fellow teachers and performers in Prince George and the B.C. area. She brings a practical approach to the development of classical musicians and believes that collaboration is key to achieving excellence at all levels.

Ages: 6 years to adult
Teaching method:
Uses a blend of Suzuki and RCM methods, supplemented with other materials according to students’ individual needs and interests. Excellent technique and musical literacy are a primary focus at all levels.
Genres:
Primarily classical. Students may explore various repertoire styles as they progress.
Group Options:
Chamber and violin groups run Tuesday evenings in 5-8 week sessions throughout the year. Students must be enrolled in private lessons at the Conservatory or in the community.
Performance Opportunities:
Students are encouraged to participate in PGCM recitals, festivals, community events and music parties. Studio recitals are also provided on a monthly basis.
