The PGCM is a registered non-profit music school which strives to provide the highest quality of music education and performance for students from beginner to professional levels. The Conservatory offers one-on-one lessons in a variety of instruments and musical styles and provides a number of group lessons and performance ensembles. The Conservatory also provides a diverse concert season including performances by Sinfonia! Prince George and the Borealis Chamber Choir.
Music is an essential part of any child's
education and life experience. Learning an instrument can improve a child's
concentration, coordination, character (through diligent practice),
self-confidence (through performance), appreciation of different kinds of
music, and ability to express ideas and emotions. In other words, a quality
music education can provide kids with the tools they need for success in life.
